This website is operated by Millinery By Alexandra (referred to as ‘we’/’us’/‘our’) and is ran though Squarespace. As a user of this Website (referred to as ‘you’/’your’) you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, whether or not you make a purchase. This Website may be used in accordance with these terms of use. Extraction or use of any content on the website and/or service must not be used without permission from us.
We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time and your continued use of this website shall be deemed to be acceptance of such changes. We provide this website on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ basis without any representation or endorsement.
This website may be adapted or withdrawn temporarily or permanently with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, withdrawal, failure or suspension of all or part of this website. The Website may be used only for lawful purposes and in a lawful manner. You agree to comply with all applicable laws, statutes and regulations regarding the Website and any transactions conducted on or through the Website.

Whilst we will endeavour to keep this website and its server free of bugs, viruses, trojans and other malware we will not be responsible for the consequences of such malware being inadvertently downloaded to your computer equipment. Users of this website are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the site or services provided herein. Any such violation may result in liability.

The order shall be accepted entirely at our discretion and shall constitute a legally binding contract between us and you. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. By using our service, you agree not to modify, adapt, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any product or service without permission by us.
The terms and conditions shall be construed in accordance with current legislation.
Threats of a slanderous nature via any form of media will not be tolerated and legal action will be taken if necessary.
We shall not be liable for delay or failure to perform any of our obligations under this order if the delay or failure is caused by any circumstances beyond our reasonable control. For the purposes of this condition, “force majeure” shall include, but not be limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil disorder, industrial dispute, fire or explosion, flood.

Section 4: Products
When ordering an item, please note that each item is individually made by hand and to order. Therefore, items may vary slightly from the product picture. Every effort has been made to display as accurately as possible colours and images of our products. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of colour will be accurate.
All items are made with good quality materials, as the wire items are plated, colour may fade over time and with wear over a period of time. Please follow the care instructions to keep your product in the best condition for a longer period of time.
Silk is a natural fibre, so the weaving of the fabric may therefore contain minor variations and irregularities that are characteristic of fine silk yarn. There should in no way be construed as defective nor should Millinery By Alexandra be held at fault.
Description of products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service without notice at any time.
Section 6: Care Instructions and Choking Hazard
Please refer to our Care Instruction page for more details on how to care for your product.
Items made include small beads and parts that are considered a choking hazard. Items that are designed for adults should be kept away from children.
Supervision will be required by an adult for items that are worn by children. Any items put into the mouth could be a choking hazard.
Section 6: Ordering Goods
When using the online checkout process, please check your order and correct any errors before confirming the order.
On completion of your order, you will receive an automated email from us and a proof of purchase receipt from PayPal.
You will be deemed to have accepted the order when you sign the confirmation of order. This acceptance by us of your order creates a sale of purchase contract between you and us.
As items are made to order, we have a 30-day lead time unless agreed otherwise or in the event of large orders. However, timescale for completing any order is generally 15 days. In the event that you have a particular time constraint related to your order, please contact us in advance of placing your order.
We may refuse to accept an order for any reason including, but not limited to, non-availability of the product or materials or inability to process your payment.
Section 7: Secure Payment
All orders are paid via PayPal (a secure payment system). Please note: by using this method customers agree to be bound by the PayPal Terms and Conditions.
To process an order, we need your credit / debit card number and expiry date, plus any security details that the credit card processor may require. Millinery By Alexandra employs trusted and reputable third-party hosting agents and payment providers to ensure the security of personal data.
All credit card details that are given to us are done so on a secure server using PayPal. We do not store nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties. Our website is ran though Squarespace, please read their policy before making your purchase. Please note, we do not store any financial information from you. Section 8: Price, Payment & Delivery
Our prices are in pounds Sterling.
Postage and packaging are calculated and will be added to your shopping basket prior to placing your order. Postage prices depend on the size of item you order.
Royal Mail Signed for 1st Class - £6.50
Additional items - £1.50
Postage to addresses in the UK mainland and Northern Ireland will be sent Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Postage to ensure efficient delivery of your item.
If your order has been dispatched but has not arrived within the expected time frame, please contact us. Multiple items ordered may be sent out separately.
Orders made requiring items to be sent outside of addresses in the UK and Northern Ireland will be given details of delivery costs and timescale within their order confirmation email. No custom fees are to be paid by Millinery By Alexandra and it is the responsibility of the customer to deal with any custom charges and/or issues.
All orders are checked before delivery. Once the full payment is made and the order is dispatched, title of goods is passed to you. We are not responsible for any damaged, defect or deficiency resulting from the transportation of goods.
Section 9: Refund Policy
All items are made to order. As a gesture of goodwill, we provide a 14 day returns window. Please contact us if you wish to return an item. The item must be in an unused and resaleable condition with tags intact. For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept the return of items that have been worn.
You are responsible for the cost of the returns postage, which is non-refundable unless the item is faulty. We recommend you send the return with a ‘signed for’ service and retain your receipt as proof. Should any returned parcel be lost, this can be used to lodge your claim with your postal provider.
If you are returning an item paid for with PayPal, we send the refund through the same method. Please note, it can take up to 14 working days for a return to be processed and the refund to be issued.
Personalised items and bespoke items that are made on your specifications are not eligible for refund or return if not suitable or liked. As we want our customers to be happy with their purchase, please contact us and we will endeavour to rectify the issue.
Section 10: Faulty Items
We take the utmost care in making and packaging the item you purchase. If you receive an order and deem it faulty, please take a photograph of your item and email it to MillineryByAlexandra@gmail.com before making any returns and within three days of receipt. After we receive photographic evidence that the item is not fit for purpose and have responded to you, you will have 14 days to return the item to us.
Any damaged or defective goods being returned to us should be in an unused condition, packaged securely in their original packaging, and sent back to us by recorded delivery.
We will make good any damage, shortage, defect or deficiency within our liabilities as soon as it is reasonable (30 days – 6 months) to do so and shall reimburse your reasonable costs for the return of the goods but shall otherwise be under no liability whatsoever arising from such damage, shortage, defect or deficiency.
Millinery By Alexandra will not be held liable for any future damage to the item purchased caused by accident, misuse or mishandling by the customer.
Section 11: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
The legislation (Consumer Contracts Regulation 2013) offers the following cancellation rights when you buy online.
· Cancellation by you:
Once an order has been placed, we are unable to make any changes or cancel your order. The order will be completed, the balance must be paid and the goods will be delivered.
You are entitled to cancel your contract if you so wish, provided you exercise your right no longer than 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods. You must inform us of your decision to cancel your contract by a clear statement, including details of you name, address and order details that you wish to cancel. If you wish to exercise your right of cancellation, you are obliged to retain possession of the goods and take reasonable care of them before returning them to us. The item must be in an unused condition with tags still attached.
Should you decide to cancel, you must return the goods to us at your cost within 14 days of cancellation and we will recredit you (using the original payment method) the amount in relation to goods to which cancellation rights apply.
· Cancellation by us:
We reserve the right to cancel the contract between you and us if: we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered. If we do cancel your contract, we will notify you by email and will recredit you (using the original payment method) any sum deducted by us as soon as possible. We are not obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

Third-party links on this site may direct you to third-party websites that are not affiliated with us.
The provision of a link to such a website does not mean that we endorse that website. If you visit any website via a link on this website, you do so at your own risk. Please review carefully the third-party’s policy and practices before engaging with them.

Due to the nature of electronic transmission of data over the Internet and the number of users of this website, this company will not be liable for losses or claims arising from the inability to access this website or its content.
Section 16: Complaints
We aim to provide a high level of service. Any enquiry or complaint regarding the goods supplied by us should be made in writing via email and will be answered within 28 days. We will not accept any complaints received from family members or third parties on behalf of yourself.
